My work is primarily focused on portraits and collodion wet plates. For both I won awards.

Aurora over Austria 2024 4k HDR
For the very first time I could see northern lights over my hometown. Amazing to witness all these colors and with a little luck I could also capture a vessel passing by.

Thank you much for the information😊. Are there any hints that canon st e 10 trigger for canon r 6II could work with rollei freeze 2 s? Regards Chris
Very welcome! When I look up the Canon ST-E10 trigger, it says it's compatible with the 430 EX III-RT and the 600EX-RT. I use the same strobes with my remote triage, so I guess that means you can also use the ST-10 for the Rollei strobe. Just make sure you set the Rollei to RT.
@@mhaustria thank you much for reply, I use the st e 10 trigger with 6 x yougnou 600rt II Speedlite and rollei freeze 2 s could be a useful addition. I will report after testing 😉

@@mhaustria my rollei freeze came today but I did not managed, it to get work with my yougnou ST E 3 copy or canon ST e 10. I got wireless, same channel, group, Id.. . Do you had any "trick/setting" to use them together?
@@chriswagn469 i just set my canon as master and set the Rollei to rt and it worked instantly. It also works when I use the speedlite 600 as master

They are very beautiful made and like new. I had a good source where I got them for a fair price.

Ist das richtiges Aluminium oder aluminisiertes Klebeband? (Oft wird letzteres als Aluklebeband angeboten, ist es aber nicht.) Verursacht Alu keinen Kurzschluss in den LED-Streifen?
Ich habe alle Materialien inklusive Aluklebeband in der Beschreibung verlinkt. Die Leiterbahnen der LED Streifen sind geschützt und somit kann man diese auch auf metallische Oberflächen kleben
To measure the diameter of a large barrel, wrap in paper tape, mark a pencil line across the overlap, unroll the tape, measure the distance between the marks, divide by pi.

Thanks you for sharing. I would love to know more about your lighting. I have a Speedotron with 4800 w/s and at F3 on my Dallmeyer 3B I need typically 4 pops of the strobe. I see that you only needed 1 pop, so it has me wondering more about your lighting solution.
There is lots of different things happening with different strobes and also the manufacturing date of the strobe makes a difference. I used even collodion that is two years old… I just use a Hensel tria 6000 I have a strobe calculator on my patreon page

How is the actual "clicker" working? All you showed was the construction of the lens/box. How is the photo being snapped/taken?
Lena cap of and on does the exposure. There is not actual shutter

I dont do wet plates because Im clumsy, I dont have a space where I can store chemicals, Im a bit scared about the explosive chemical at home. So what do you suggest ? I was thinking to rent a workshop, but it's hard to find. At the moment, I will only try dry plates from zebra.
Dry plates are great as well. About the chemicals: if you use gasoline for your lawnmower, it’s also explosive for example. Where do you live? Maybe I know somebody there, or you just visit Austria 🇦🇹

@@chriscard6544 yes, I do mostly privat workshops in my studio. It's much easier when people can choose a date freely.
I'm in the process of building one, thanks for the print files! I'm in the US and it's hard to source metric hardware locally. For anyone else with the same issue, 3/8" threaded rod is very close to M10 and will work. The nuts are a good bit smaller, however, so I had to design and print some simple bushings.

Nice. Something to consider here. If the glass is ground with finer grit beyond a point, it would be difficult to focus. I think the 600 grit used here is good enough. No finer than this.
I agree! 400grit by itself makes it more contrasty.
A word of warning: I bought all of the amazon linked parts in the description, but the power supply that came with my lights did not have a removable power cable. Therefore, I could not attach the on/off switch or the power cable splitter.

Klasse, vielen Dank Markus! Damit beschäftige ich mich sogar gerade zufällig. Mache mir aber Gedanken, es aus Holz zu basteln. Weiß nur noch nicht, ob ich das mit meinen Werkzeugen hinbekomme. In deinem Video reinigst du mit Glasreiniger. Diesen verwende ich, um Objektive zu reinigen. Ist das bei dir der abschließende Step (ich nehme da Ethanol) oder reinigst du ausschließlich damit?
Der Vorteil von Kunststoff ist die Reinigung von diesen. Holz nimmt mehr Feuchtigkeit und Schmutz auf. Wobei ein 3D Druck auch feinporig sein kann. Zum reinigen generell hat sicher jeder seine eigene Strategie. Von Geschirrspüler, händisch waschen, kreidestaub usw. Ich putze mehrmals mit dem Becherreiniger und davor mit Wasser und Spüli

The diameter of the lens, because it’s designed to project a crt screen that is very close to it
